Park Volunteer Opportunity

Come help us improve our park!
 

Beginning this Wednesday May 17th we will be commencing the process of smoothing out our soccer field and prep work for the community garden! 

We would love to invite anyone who would like to volunteer to come help. There is a lot of work to be done by anyone of any age or ability. 

We have three projects with slightly different schedules, they are:

Soccer Field Smoothing 
Wednesday (May17) -Saturday (May20) 
Work will mostly be hauling sod, prepping dirt for seed, planting seed, etc
Weekdays we will start at 5:30pm
Saturday we will start at 9am
Recommended tools: Wheelbarrow, shovel, rake

Log Splitting
Thursday (May18) -Monday (May22)
Work will be cutting up the logs that haven fallen on the other side of the creek and then splitting the wood. 
Weekdays we will start at 5:30pm
Weekends we will start at 9am
Recommended tools: Chainsaw, Axe

Garden Prep
Friday (May19) -Tuesday (May23)
Work will consist of hauling sod away, shoveling gravel onto walking paths, and removing brush.
Weekdays we will start at 5:30pm
Weekends we will start at 9am
Recommended tools: Wheelbarrow, shovel, rake

Please provide your own water.

If you are going to bring a Chainsaw and operate it please do so safely and at your own risk.
